Dra. Warleny Carolina González Flórez
Dr. Warleny Carolina González Flórez Specialist in Critical Care and Emergency Medicine. Patient Safety Researcher. Surgeon graduated from the University of Zulia, Venezuela, with more than 15 years of experience in the management of critically ill patients and in emergency and disaster management. She holds specialties in Critical Care Medicine (2016) and Emergencies and Disasters (2012), as well as a Master's degree in Health Sector Administration, with a specialization in Hospital Administration (2024). Her career includes positions as an intensive care physician at high-level institutions such as the University Hospital of Maracaibo, San Francisco Polyclinic, and San Lucas Medical Center, among others in Venezuela. She has participated as a professor in the postgraduate programs in Critical Care Medicine and Emergencies and Disasters at the University of Zulia, and has also served as an academic coordinator. Additionally, she has spoken at scientific conferences, presenting research focused on morbidity and mortality in critical care units and the relationship between biomarkers and clinical prognosis, receiving recognition for her research work. She currently serves on multidisciplinary teams committed to improving critical care and implementing safe practices in the hospital setting.
